Come and enjoy all that Shropshire has to offer with a wealth of walking, and outdoor activities on our door step. There is walking to suit all abilities including nearby routes on Shropshire Way, a variety of local circular walks as well as proximity to Offa's Dyke and Kerry Ridgeway. The area is well provided with cycling routes for all abilities including the 17 mile Clun challenge. Four graded cycle routes on quiet roads have been developed by Shropshire Council from each of nearby Church Stretton, Craven Arms, Cleobury Mortimer, Ludlow and Bishops Castle. Use Bicton Lodge as a base to try them all or for something different look into the Bishops Castle annual Tandem Triathalon and the Tour d'Arts Alive. We are big on good food and drink in South Shropshire with two local micro breweries The Clun Brewery and The Three Tunns. Clun is home to The Sun Inn and The White Horse which both offer a superb choice of eating out and together with a wide range of food and beer festivals, local farmers markets and special food shops you wont be short of tasty holiday treats to enjoy out or in. Our area is also rich with specialist independent shops you can find out more about them here. We know how to do festivals and events in Shropshire and there is a rich seam of arts, culture and heritage to explore year round. You will find calendars of local events here and here.
