Perfect for exploring Shropshire and relaxing at the end of the day
Great location for exploring Shropshire. Extremely comfortable beds and fantastic hot tub. Thomasina was a perfect host- the lodge was and also felt completely private but Thomasina was available if you needed anything. The cows every morning were an added bonus. Recommend the walk into Clun and the pubs and shops there plus Bury ditches, Horton Castle and Ludlow farm shop. September 2023 Had a lovely stay at Bicton Lodge during the last week of the summer holidays. Was lovely waking up to the cows in the morning, kids loved it. Hot tub was also lovely to relax in peace and quiet. Would definitely visit again.
Sue Denim September 2023 An absolute must to visit in a beautiful area of Shropshire. Great for walks, trips out or just chilling in the hot tub.
We had the most amazing week here. The host, Thomasina, is so thoughtful, kind and nothing is too much trouble. The lodge is fully equipped with everything you may need, comfy beds, a welcome pack and in a beautiful location. Hot tub is sheer bliss and kept spotlessly clean. The fire is “ready to go” for those chilly days/nights. Hayley C June 2023 |
Wonderful retreat! Total relaxation with stunning views, Thomasina is the most thoughtful and caring hostess with quirky little thought out luxuries left around the lodge.
Wonderful hot tub to relax in after a days exploration of the surrounding stunning countryside, and for those cooler evenings we've loved the cosy woodburner,it was all ready to light on arrival, and was well provided with logs for a few days if needed. Highly recommended ,once you've been you'll be guaranteed to return. Julie May 2023 My third visit to Bicton Lodge. A tranquil, warm and welcoming cottage . The cottage has very comfortable beds (I always sleep in!) and the living areas are well appointed with everything you might need. Thomasina the owner has really thought of everything with care and it’s a beautiful and relaxing place to stay.
Lara Ratnaraja July 2023 Lovely holiday cottage
Had a fab holiday here. Lovely ‘cottage’ with great views and quiet location. Clean, well appointed, and private, the owner was discreet but so friendly. It was great having the hot tub for a soak after a day’s walk. Clun itself is a very pleasant 35 minute walk away (turn left out the door along lane then field edge footpaths, eventually arriving at Clun castle). The White Horse does good pub food and is home to the Clun Brewery (Citadel and Solar are particularly good). Neil T July 2022 |
Had a fantastic week staying at Bicton Lodge, such a lovely place with everything you need, including a hot tub to relax in. The two bedrooms and living room are all a good size and it is very comfy. We ate out in the day and mostly cooked in the evening - the kitchen had everything required. There are so many great places to explore nearby and it is also lovely to stay in - the views are great and it is so peaceful. It was funny one day when a flock of sheep went by the house - the only time it was a little noisy for all the baaing, they were quickly gone and I was glad I got photos! The owner Thomasina made us feel very welcomed. This is my third visit, I'd visited twice before on short breaks. I will be back as I know I am guaranteed a lovely place to stay, and I love this part of Shropshire - stunning countryside, great places to visit and good food wherever you eat!
Linda Spurdle July 2023 Lovely Lodge for a Perfect Getaway
We have just had an amazing week here - it is such a great getaway! A really lovely clean and well decorated lodge with super hot tub needed after lots of local hill walks including routes along Offa's Dyke and the Shropshire Way. The lodge has great views over the fields and cows situated in a small hamlet away from it all. Lovely pubs in the nearby villages too. Looking forward to going back. Nicky M August 2023 |
